How to care for your Ocean Soul Series products:
Use regular or mild dish soap, and wash your bamboo utensils in soapy hot water. Use a cleaning soft cloth to scrub away stuck-on food particles. Do not soak them in water and do not put them in a dishwasher. If food does get stuck on, gently scrape it away with a metal scraper, butter knife or your fingernail. Try and keep food from drying on the utensils by cleaning or rinsing them right away.
Rinse your bamboo utensils in warm water. Pat utensils dry with a clean soft cloth to the best of your ability, then stand them upright in your drying rack to complete the drying process.
If your bamboo utensils start to look or feel dry, re-hydrate them with mineral oil, or bamboo conditioning oil (found in most kitchen supply stores). To use the oil, apply several drops to a clean cloth and rub all over your utensil. Repeat this process if necessary. Let the utensil cure for a day or two before using it again.
Rinse the straw as best as you can under hot water, then wet the pipe cleaner. Rub a bit of dish soap onto the pipe cleaner until it gets sudsy, then push it back and forth through the straw to remove debris. Once you feel the inside is sufficiently scraped, wash the rest of the straw with soap and water.
